World Series Opening Ceremony

Kick off World Series week with an unforgettable King of the Bayou World Series Opening Ceremony! Beginning on Wednesday, all teams will participate in a Louisiana-inspired Mardi Gras-style parade around the park.

Teams are encouraged to build and decorate their own themed pull trailers to be towed through the parade route and bring plenty of beads to throw to fans as we celebrate the start of an incredible World Series week. Show off your team's creativity, spirit, and personality as we kick off one of the biggest youth baseball events of the year.

We don't do trading pins that's primitive. design your own special beads or throws!

Immediately following the Opening Ceremony, Skills Competitions will begin!

Skills Competitions

• Roadrunner Rumble Races – Fastest player around the bases!
• Around the Horn Challenge – Team defensive competition!
• Strike Throwing Showdown – Each pitcher receives 10 pitches to throw as many strikes as possible with a Division I college umpire calling the zone!
• Coaches' Dizzy Bat Race – Coaches spin with a bat for 8 seconds before racing around the bases for the fastest time!

Tournament Format

• Thursday: Two Pool Play Games
• Friday: Two Pool Play Games
• Saturday: Single Elimination Championship Bracket begins

Registration

$800 Entry Fee(Gate Fees Included)

There will be no gate admissions during the event. Families and fans are free to enter and exit through all park gates throughout the tournament.

Game Information

• Five-Game Guarantee
• Pay at the Plate
  • Kid Pitch: $60 per game
  • Coach Pitch: $40 per game
• Coach Pitch: 1-hour game time, no drop-dead time, 6 innings, run rule applies.
• 9U–12U: 1 hour 30 minute game time, 6 innings, run rule applies.
• Run Rules:
  • 12 runs after 3 innings
  • 10 runs after 4 innings
  • 8 runs after 5 innings

Pitching Rules

Pitchers are limited to 10 innings for the tournament. Coaches are responsible for managing their players' pitching workload and arm care.
